Additional Item Information - An elegant and sculptural mid-century modern single-light pendant chandelier attributed to Barovier & Toso. Handcrafted in clear Murano glass on the Venetian island of Murano during the 1950s, this fixture features a striking fluted, flower-like central diffuser cradled within an organically curved clear glass rope frame. This exquisite Italian pendant light captures the masterful artistry of mid-century Venetian glassmaking. It features a beautifully textured, ribbed central glass cup designed to diffuse a warm, ambient glow, framed by a sweeping, hand-blown clear glass rope border connected by subtle dark metal brackets. Suspension is provided by a central solid Murano glass rod leading up to a matching clear glass ceiling canopy. Exhibiting the classic organic forms typical of Ercole Barovier's mid-century designs, this rare light makes a stunning minimalist statement piece for a hallway, dining nook, or bedroom. It has been completely rewired with new modern wiring to ensure safe and seamless installation while preserving its vintage character.
